BOWEN BODYWORKS

Bowen Bodyworks is a body balancing, healing technique for pain and stress relief developed by Claire Murphy. This technique is based on her adaptation of the work of Tom Bowen, her knowledge of acupressure and energy work, and client experience. The work is done through light clothing as the client lies on a massage table. Simple moves are made across muscles, tendons, and ligaments. These moves relax the muscles, providing the same stress and anxiety reduction benefits of massage. As moves are done across acupressure points along the body's energy meridians, energy flow is also stimulated.

Appointments are scheduled for one hour. A treatment initiates the healing process and continues to work after the session. A series of 3 treatments, scheduled about a week apart, is suggested for most conditions. Acute conditions may be resolved sooner, while chronic conditions may require further treatment. Bowen Bodyworks has proven beneficial for many conditions. Claire has successfully treated clients with a variety of ailments, including fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, hip and back pain sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, respiratory and sinus conditions, migraine headaches, froze shoulder, knee and foot pain, and many other dysfunctions.



REIKI

Reiki (pronounced ray-key), means universal life force energy. It is an ancient method of healing rediscovered in Japan in the 1800's by Mikao Wsui. This energy technique has been used to speed healing, relieve pain, and increase energy. Treatment consists of the therapist gently laying hands on a client's fully clothed body. Energy flows to where it is needed to loosen blocked energy and promote healing. It heals on all levels - physical, emotional, and spiritual.
